Karen is proud to announce that Spokane City Employees Local 270 is the newest group to endorse her campaign. Thanks to everyone for your support of our effort.

This year you will be asked to vote for an individual who will represent you on the Spokane City Council, 3rd District, and Position 2. I am campaigning for this position with the following priorities being of the highest priority.

1. Public safety is the city of Spokane's first priority. We must fully fund our Fire and Police Departments and provide them with the tools and personnel necessary to provide service to the citizens of our community.

2. The city general fund currently provides funding for road maintenance. Taxpayers are already funding road maintenance; a budget for road maintenance and new road construction needs to be better defined and adhered to.

3. City government needs to be an “open book” for all to see. Taxpayers expect accountability and sound decision-making when it comes to spending. Elected officials and department managers need to be good stewards of tax dollars and city resources.
